This morning at 5:30, Wyatt woke up screaming, so I fed him thinking he was hungry. After I fed him he kept screaming, and I noticed he felt really warm. Took his temp using a paci thermometer it was 101.1! I give him some tylenol. I wake my DH up and we take it again rectally (Urgent Care dr said to do it this way, I am not a fan of this method but it works). Its 100.5. We give him a cool bath to see if it will bring the temp down. Not one tenth of a degree! It had been an hour so the tylenol should have kicked in by now.
Travis and I take Wyatt to the ER to get him checked out. After waiting 2 hours, the DR says its bronchiolitis and to keep doing what we have been and add in some pedialyte. Hopefully Wyatt feels better tomorrow, I feel bad that he is miserable. At least he finally fell asleep though!
When we got home from the hospital, we ate some breakfast and all 3 of us just passed out! I guess about 1 or so though the neighbor rang the doorbell because our dog and their dog had been digging a hole under the fence and their little dog can almost fit through. She wanted some help filling in the hole. So Travis got up and did this. All the while, Wyatt and I are knocked out cold. I didn't even hear the doorbell ring. Good thing he did though!

We went shopping today. We didn't buy much, just some pedialyte for Wyatt and some yummy sounding salsa from Target, its pineapple peach salsa and tequila lime salsa! I will let you all know how good or bad it is once we finish the dip we already have open.
We checked out Ross, they have the cutest little blue and white shoes that I want to buy Wyatt to go with the outfit I have picked out for family pictures. I don't however, want to buy them too early because I am not sure when we will do pictures. I want to wait until after Travis finishes radiation and is a little more peppy!
Travis felt better today, seeing how he didn't have to go in for radiation today. 4 days down, 13 to go. Neither of us can wait until he is finished. He can't wait because he hates feeling yucky. I can't wait because I hate him feeling sick and because he will finally be able to hold Wyatt again (Not to mention change a few diapers!!!).
We are going up to Tulsa for Valentines day weekend I think we decided. If Travis is feeling up to it. If not, then the weekend after for sure. We need to buy his brothers, dad, and sister in law birthday presents though before we go up there. I have decided for our next child(ren) their birthdays cannot be in March or June, Hopefully not Sept or Oct either. We need to spread the birthdays out throughout the year! They are all cluttered together in those 4 months basically. There are 14 birthdays in our families in those 4 months, and there are only 2 that do not fall into those months!

So, Wyatt has been just a bear all day. I kept checking his temperature, and it was normal. Normal until after 5 when the DRs office closes! I think he was just waiting. So, my husband and I pack up the diaper bag and head 35 miles south to the closest urgent care. It was a waste of time and money. All the DR said was it was a virus and to drink plenty of fluids. I am thankful that we went because assurance that your child is going to be okay is much better than hoping he is okay.
I did find out that my lil chunky monkey weighs about 14 pounds. He wouldn't hold still long enough for the scale to get an acurate reading though. It took the nurse 5 minutes to get the BP machine to get an accurate reading he was so wiggly! He screamed the entire way home though. I finally got him to sleep aftertrying for an hour! Poor sick lil baby. Doesn't help either he is teething!

Travis finished his first week of radiation today. 4 days down, 13 to go. He feels so yucky in the evenings when he gets home. I feel bad for him but there isn't anything I can do. He hasn't been able to hold Wyatt since the therapy started because he feels dizzy all the time and he is afraid of dropping him.

Got our W2s for last year. So we will be heading up to Tulsa for V-day weekend to my grandparents to do taxes. Woo so exciting lol! That way we can also get my grandma to babysit while we have a date.
We have only had 1 date since Wywy was born. A second one is quite needed, especially right now! We never have anytime together alone because as soon as Trav gets home, he lays down until dinner. Eats, showers, and goes to bed. We can't wait for radiation to be over with!!

My first post!

This is my new blog! I have never blogged before, it is a new experience! There is so much pressure for this new post on my new blog to be spectacular. Sadly, I think it will end up just being a mediocre post of who I am and the basic information one might discuss online. But there is hope I might be able to think of something witty and astounding to say, we shall find out!
Okay, so the mediocre part. My name is Kendra, obviously, and my husband Travis and our son Wyatt, oh and of course, Casey Jones the best darn dog ever, live in what is known as Texoma! We recently moved here because Travis got a new job at his old company working on what he refers to as giant Tonka Trucks (those mine haul dump trucks). I have had no luck in finding a teaching job as of yet. I am toying with the idea of going back to school and getting a nursing degree. Still undecided on that!
Our son, our beautiful perfect child, is sleeping right now! He was born on October 28 of last year. The poor little fellow seems to have a bug of some sort and has just been a horrid boy today. Which is very unlike him! I am calling the DR tomorrow if he has fevers again. I want my cute happy baby back. I think someone switched my happy baby with this banshee! He has been making these awful sounds that I have not heard before. Tylenol didn't seem to do the trick. On top of it, he is beginning to teeth. Such a cruel world for such a lil guy! But it will get better!
This is the beginning entry to what hopefully will become an amazing blog, I hope! You decide, mediocre or maybe just a teeny tiny bit amazing?
