Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

So Tuesday, we went to Church for their Mardi Gras celebration. We got there late because it was at 5:30 and by the time we got us all ready when Travis got home from work, it was 5:30. But we still had fun. They had the cutest children's box parade. The kids and their parents decorated boxes for Mardi Gras. The winner had his box decorated like Noahs Ark. 3rd Place was dressed up like a peacock, because their last name was peacock!
We went to the Ash Wednesday service as well at the Church. It was the first time I had communion in I don't know when! They also put ash on my forehead. First time I ever I that done. I thought it was interesting. Afterwards, they had a hamburger supper. It was delicious. We sat with these 4 older women, they were all enthralled with Wyatt! But who can blame them ha!! Afterwards, we went to Walmart and just killed time.
It is such a nice day out, but really its pretty hot! 83 degrees and its only February! Geez! I think it will be a hot summer this year :( Good thing we live real close to Lake Texoma and an awesome pool! Woohoo! We looked at swim stuff for Wyatt, and I think we will get him one of those float rings with a bonnet on top. Its for 6 months-12months, so it will be perfect for his lil tushie! Now we just need to get him a bathing suit, and a swim diaper.
It has been nice not having to cook dinner for the past two nights! Tonight though, we are having steak and sweet potatoes. If I hurry, we can also have yeast rolls! Mmm. Well, I gotta go so I can make those rolls!

No more Radiation!!!

Today was the last day of Travis' radiation therapy! Praise the Lord! It has been a tough 4 weeks for us. He hasn't been able to play with Wyatt much due to the affects of the treatment. He will now officially be put back on diaper duty tomorrow though ha! The affects will still be there for a couple more weeks according to the papers he was given. I couldn't go today for his last treatment, but he said it was real neat. The Cancer Center has a therapeutic dog, and he was out today. Whenever a patient finishes his/her treatment they make you ring a bell 3 times. When Travis rang it, the dog apparently went crazy! Running around all excited for Travis to be finished! The doggy even waved goodbye as Travis left! How neat is that? To celebrate him being done I made him chocolate chip cookies and sweet tea!
That is the good news for today. The bad news is that our darn puppy dog, who really isn't much of a puppy, keeps escaping! For the past week he had been getting into our neighbors yard to the south of us. They have a boxer who Casey LOVES to play with! Well, today he got out from the east side of our yard, where there is a flood ditch that runs along there. Luckily these nice people found him and called us. I missed there call (another story I will tell you below) but finally I called them back. They brought Casey back to me yay! But we have no idea how he is getting out. He must be jumping or climbing over the fence. We didn't think he could jump, he has never done it for us before. He is about 100 lbs, so we thought he was too heavy. No he is tied up in the back yard for now until we can get an electric fence going around the yard.
Now for why I missed their first call. Wyatt had a horrible night last night. He woke up at 2:30 screaming, and I couldn't figure out why. He screamed until a quarter til 4 when he finally past out again. Then he woke up at 5:21 am screaming again. I still couldn't figure out why, but I suspected a nasty gas bubble in his tummy was the culprit! Well, I put him in his swing to sleep which I never do, and I laid down on the couch. Not sure how long it took for Wyatt to fall back asleep, but he did. Then at 8ish he woke me up again, and I picked him up. His ENTIRE backside was soaked in poop! I went and took off his outfit and stuck him in his tub after wiping off as much as I could. Good news is that he is feeling sooo much better!! We slept most of the day to make up for our lack of sleep last night. He has now been asleep for 5 hours tonight so I guess I can say he is sleeping through the night. As I am writing I hear him stirring now. Spoke too soon darn it!
Well goodnight everyone!
I prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. 1 Samuel 1:27
